We are delighted to announce our partnership with the housing charity Shelter. Shelter will be providing specialist help and support to our beneficiaries who need help with issues such as mortgage or rent arrears, domestic abuse, and unsuitable properties.
Oliver Gray, Head of Business Development at Shelter said:
“We’re delighted to be working in partnership with The Insurance Charities, providing expert housing help to people who may not have ordinarily used Shelter’s services. The partnership means that we can support those who access a grant to also sustain change and achieve stability in their lives. It is a great example of pooling resources to achieve better outcomes for clients.”
This partnership will initially last for 12 months with the potential to be extended further.
To be eligible beneficiaries should apply to us as normal and we can then refer suitable cases to Shelter to benefit from their in-depth housing advice in conjunction with our help.
This is part of an initiative on our part to join with relevant charities and expand how we can offer assistance to people in need of our help. You can find out more about charities we partner with on our Practical Help & Support page.
