We help people and their families through an vast range of issues.
One of the families we have been able to help recently are the McDonough family. The family first approached us in September 2015 to see if we could help them fund a potentially life-changing operation for their young son Max who has Cerebral Palsy Spastic Diplega. Max’s mum worked in HR for an insurance company and was eligible to receive help from us.
This pioneering surgery, called SDR (Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy), will enable Max to walk unaided.
As a charity we have been able to contribute towards these costs by funding Max’s operation and paying for the flights and accommodation while the family are in America. Max’s dad said:
“Words can’t express how grateful we are!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!”
