Gift Aid Information

How to make your donation go further

Gift Aid is a government scheme, set up to help charities like The Insurance Charities get the most from donations they receive. For every pound you or your sponsors donate, we can claim an extra 25 pence from the Inland Revenue, boosting your donation at no additional cost to you.

For example, if you give a donation of £100 to The Insurance Charities, the Inland Revenue will add £25.00, bringing the total to £125.00.

To qualify for Gift Aid, what you pay in income tax or capital gains tax must at least equal the amount we will claim in the tax year.

How to do it:

It's really simple and requires very little work on your part. All you have to do is complete the Gift Aid Form when you make your donation and send it to us. We'll do the rest.

Or if you are holding an event, make sure everyone who donates or sponsors you fills in their full name and address including postcode and ticks the Gift Aid box on our Gift Aid Wallets that are available from our office.
