Companies and Intermediaries

Many employers are unable to meet the demands of past and present employees who are experiencing financial hardship even when they have their own charitable trust. We value the strong links we enjoy with many companies and wish to extend these. In this way we can ensure that all those within our industry can benefit from our support, when it is most needed.

We want to build closer relationships with all employers in the modern insurance industry: insurers, brokers and intermediaries, loss adjusters and those many specialist forms providing services exclusively or mainly to the insurance industry

We are aware that many people working in the insurance industry today have little idea about how The Insurance Charities could help in times of difficulty. To ensure that your employees and pensioners know more about what we do and can benefit from our support, when needed, we would be pleased to provide you with the following:

We are also happy to meet Human Resources and Pensioner Relations Managers to update them on our activities and agree a communications strategy to reach employees and pensioners. We would particularly wish to target those joining and leaving the industry, where the latter results from either redundancy or retirement. We would, therefore, welcome the opportunity of providing material for information packs and participating in organised retirement courses.

Given that support to individuals in some circumstances can amount to many thousands of pounds, there may well be opportunities for corporate sponsorship which we would be happy to discuss further.

We benefit from regular donations from a number of large and small insurance employers. These help to ensure that adequate support for individuals in need can continue. Employers' donations of £500 and over are published in our Annual Financial Statements and placed in our table of corporate donations.
