This site has been designed with guidelines on accessibility
from the World Wide Web Consortium and the Cabinet Office
in mind. This means that we have tried to make our content
available to the largest possible audience by catering
for the broadest range of hardware and software platforms,
and that users with disabilities have been considered.
There are some additional steps that users with disabilities
can take to make their computers easier to use. Here
are some brief guidelines for two of the most widely
used platforms, Windows PC and Apple Macintosh.

Open System Preferences by clicking the dock icon, or
choose Apple menu > System Preferences, then click
the icon for Universal Access. Here you will find some
useful options for changing your systems settings relating
to seeing (e.g. increasing text size), hearing (e.g.
VoiceOver utility), keyboard and mouse.
